Eucerin's Eczema Relief Cream Body Wash Is Easily One of My Favorite Launches of 2020
Because my skin is so wildly sensitive and prone to adverse reactions (thank you, genetics), I've really struggled to find a body wash that doesn't leave my limbs feeling tight and inflamed. The reality is, so many body cleansers on the market tend to contain ingredients that irritate my temperamental skin, while others simply don't contain enough soothing agents to do much at all for my inflammation.
This year though, Eucerin came out with its Eczema Relief Cream Body Wash, and it's quickly become a mainstay in my shower routine. (And by that I mean I'll probably be repurchasing this 'ish forever, folks.)
Let's discuss the formula first, shall we? In addition to skin-soothing colloidal oatmeal, an ingredient recommended for eczema by just about every derm out there, it also contains ceramide 3, which helps improve and support the skin barrier, as well as glycerin to alleviate dryness. It's also fragrance-free and isn't made with any harsh dyes or soaps — instead, it contains very mild surfactants to help gently cleanse the skin, without leaving it tight or squeaky clean.
After just a few uses, I noticed that my skin started to feel less dry post-showering — that, and when I tested it out for the very first time, I didn't experience any irritation, which is huge for me, guys. Huge! I also really love how rich and creamy it is, as it really feels like it's moisturizing my skin rather than stripping it of its natural oils. Typically, I apply it first, lather up my body, and then remove any excess with a washcloth.
Suffice it to say, this has definitely been one of my favorite skin-care finds of the year, and I can already tell you now it won't be going anywhere in 2021. If you, too, have ultra-dry, eczema-prone skin, I'd highly recommend trying Eucerin's Eczema Relief Cream Body Wash; you can score it for $14 on Amazon.
