What Crystals To Use If You’re Healing Your Third Eye Chakra

For those who believe in seven chakras, or energy centers of the body, the sixth chakra is known as the third eye chakra or “Ajna” (via Healthline). It is located between your eyebrows and, as its name would suggest, is said to be the chakra dedicated to second sight or spiritual insight, in other words: the things you “see” and understand that aren’t visible to the naked eye. When clear and balanced, it is supposed to allow you to connect with your higher self, with higher spirit, and with divine intuition and wisdom. 

However, when it is blocked or out of balance, you might feel disconnected from your own intuition, directionless, confused, bitter, or faithless. Physically, you might also experience headaches, poor sleep, or vision or ear problems (via Tiny Rituals). Further, you might experience serious anxiety or stress, and you might feel “stuck” and indecisive. While there are several healing modalities aimed at healing, opening, and balancing your third eye chakra, one way of treating the issue at home is with healing crystals and stones. 

Crystals for opening the third eye

The color associated with the third eye chakra is indigo, which is a shade of purple (via Best Crystals). As such, some of the crystals often used to help clear and balance this chakra are also of purplish hue, like amethyst. The color of amethyst isn’t the only reason it is associated with the healing of this specific energy center; this crystal is considered the major choice for peace and wisdom, as well as for issues relating to sleep, headaches, or anxiety (via Tiny Rituals). Labradorite is another stone that helps with the third eye, as it is said to help you navigate changes with higher and better inner wisdom. It is also supposed to be protective when tapping into the psychic realm. 

Clear quartz is also a great choice, as its pure white energy helps with clarity, both mental and spiritual. It is also used for general healing and clearing of negativity and energetic congestion. You can also use azurite, as it his said to have powerful effects on psychic abilities, opening the user up to higher realms, deeper intuition, and cosmic energies, all of which are the purpose of your third eye.
