Jenna Jameson Shows Us How to Do Keto Right on Vacation!

With her before and after photos and endless practical advice on Instagram Opens a New Window. , Jenna Jameson Opens a New Window. has proven herself the keto diet expert Opens a New Window. of the year! And it’s no different when she’s on vacation.

As followers of her near-daily posts know, the former adult film actress, 44, had been gearing up to go to Mexico for a holiday with her 20-month-old daughter, Batel, and husband Lior Bitton for weeks. On February 15, the star, who was eager to show off her weight loss, even asked her followers to weigh in on her beach wear: “In honor of my first spray tan in 4 years, help me choose my first bikini of my vacation!” she captioned a photo.

More recently, she let her fans know how she was stepping up her diet and fitness efforts before taking off. “Less than a week from vacation,” she wrote on an Instagram photo of her showing off her tiny waist in a sexy one-piece on February 20. “The packing has begun! I’m also cracking down on my #keto to try to get lean and mean because more than likely I’m going to enjoy a few taco platters while in Mexico! I even have begun quick circuit training while Batelli naps. They consist of pliés, lunges, sit ups, pushups and planks.”

As soon as she was beachside on Tuesday, February 26, Jameson — who lost a whopping 80 pounds on the keto diet Opens a New Window. in 2018 — began sharing the delicious meals she was eating. On the high-protein, low-carb ketogenic diet, followers are supposed to avoid carbs and sugars and focus on healthy fats such as avocado, olive oil, nuts and chia and flax seeds. Many, including Jameson, combine keto with intermittent fasting, typically consuming all their calories in an eight-hour window and not eating or drinking anything besides water for 16 hours.

But keto queen Jameson knows how to stay in ketogenesis on vacay and still have fun! As she noted on Instagram on March 3, “it’s not easy” to stay keto on vacation “because it’s ingrained in our brains that vacation is letting go!” And though she admitted she indulged in various treats, she’s not letting it get her off track. “I’m sure my scale has shifted… but not to the point that it should [affect] my mood or ultimate progress. Moral of this story, don’t deprive yourself… enjoy life… but don’t stray to [sic] far.” Scroll through to see how she (mostly!) stuck to her diet while traveling.

Embrace Fresh Local Food

A grilled fish is a fantastic source of the “good” fats like omega-3s that are the base of the keto diet. Just squeeze on lemon for extra flavor and add veggies to the side.

Skip the Tortilla

As Jameson showed, you can enjoy everything tortillas have to offer — the delicious veggies, meat, beans, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole — and still stay keto. Just ditch the traditional flour tortilla.

Branch Out for Breakfast

If you’re used to making the same keto breakfast every day (omelets perhaps?), try something different so sticking to your diet will feel like a treat. A matcha smoothie bowl with banana slices and pomegranate and sunflower seeds should do the trick!

Rethink Avocado

Avocados are a mainstay of the keto diet, so of course you’ll have plenty of them on a warm-weather jaunt! But you’ll enjoy them even more with an egg baked right into each half. Count on local sauces and herbs to add extra special flavor.

Live Without Regrets

Don’t forget that it’s vacation. A few slip-ups are OK. As Jameson noted in one of her Instagram stories, “You guys, I just ate, like, 30 fries… oh well!”
