Brooke Shields' Daughter Grier Honored Her Mother Again With This Chic Vintage Moment

While attending the opening night of her mom’s show, “Previously Worn by Brooke Shields,” Grier Henchy supported the iconic model by wearing a special item Shields previously wore. We love a clever fashion moment, and this one happens to be vintage, too!

For the inaugural performance of Shields’ show at Café Carlyle, Henchy donned a Badgley Mischka gown that was worn by her mom 22 years ago at Marshall Field’s Fash Bash at the Chicago Theater in 2003. The floor-length blush and champagne sheath dress features a square neckline and a drop waist, as well as intricate embroidery and beading throughout the material.

While Shields originally wore the gown with a pinned-back hairstyle and rose-tinted makeup, Henchy opted to wear her mermaid-length strands down in loose waves with peach-toned makeup to coordinate with her auburn-hued hair.

The Blue Lagoon actress shared a side-by-side of the re-wear moment on her Instagram, captioning the photo, “Two of my most favorite recent moments… each 22 years apart ❤️ This week Grier wore my @badgleymischka dress from 2001 to my @cafecarlyle premiere!!” Referencing a second photo of her eldest daughter wearing another dress of hers, Shields wrote, “And #tbt to Rowan wearing my golden globes dress to prom. How cool is this?! 👯‍♀️”

Fans loved the post, with one commenting, “Oh this is priceless! They are so lucky to get to shop mom’s closet!!” Another echoed the sentiment, writing, “How special that you kept these gowns and that they are so timeless your girls would be wearing them also. Special mother daughter moments for sure.”

And one of Shields’ followers gave her a shoutout for the sustainability she promotes by allowing Grier and Rowan to re-wear her vintage fashions: “Beautiful women! I love the recycling of clothing while also making memories cherished! ❤️❤️”
