Serena Williams Opens Up About Her Daughter's Teething Struggles
Earlier this month, Twitter came to the rescue when tennis champion and new mum Serena Williams needed advice about breastfeeding her daughter Alexis Olympia.
Now, Williams has turned to her 7.2 million Instagram followers for recommendations about helping her 3-month-old with her teething difficulties.
“Teething- aka the devil – is so hard,” the tennis star wrote, along with an adorable photo of her daughter in a bib.
“Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. She cried so much (she never cries) I had to hold her until she fell asleep. I’ve tried amber beads… cold towels…. chew on mommies fingers…. homeopathic water (lol on that one) but nothing is working. It’s breaking my heart.”
Williams added: “I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I’m so stressed. Help? Anyone??”
As you probably guessed, countless mums and experts chimed in with helpful advice in the comments, with suggestions ranging from Bonjela to frozen fruit and a teething pacifier.
The tennis champion and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed Alexis Olympia in September.
