Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas’ Emotional Tributes to Daughter Carys Show How Much She’s Taken After Her Superstar Parents

It’s no secret that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are the proudest parents in the world to their two kiddos, but these new videos honoring their daughter Carys Zeta-Douglas on her 20th birthday may be the sweetest thing we’ve seen from the family yet.

On April 20, the Terminal star shared a video celebrating her daughter’s 20th birthday with the caption reading, “20 years ago today my daughter Carys came in to my arms and there is not a day I haven’t cherished. Happy Birthday beautiful lady🎂♥️🎂.”

In the heartwarming throwback video, we see a snapshot of a smiling Zeta-Jones holding onto a younger Carys, followed by a clip of what Carys’ name means. Then, we start with a younger Carys waving to the camera, reciting a small monologue, and dancing for her mama as they chill out by a beautiful lakeside.
She’s talking about all the dances she can go, including ballet and tap dance. Then she does an adorable tap dance for her mama, ending it by asking her mom “How did you like that?” We then end the video with a snapshot of Carys posing in a recent campaign, with Zeta-Jones writing “Happy Birthday Carys, I love you!”
Being the unbelievably sweet mother-daughter duo they are, Carys commented under the post saying, “Thank you mommy! I love you so deeply- thank you for the wonderful mother you have been for these 20 years❤️”
Now, Zeta-Jones wasn’t the only proud parent to shout out Carys, because Douglas did the same thing! On the same day, he posted a video to his Instagram saying, “To my darling daughter Carys, wishing you a happy happy birthday! Now that you are leaving your teens, may this be a wonderful New Year for you darling!”

Instead of a montage video, Michael shared a photo of Carys posing under red lights next to a guitar, looking like a rocker-chic Queen. But this isn’t an ordinary photo, because he added a voiceover to it, saying what he did in the caption! Carys also wrote under his post, saying, “I love you so much Dadda- thank you for all that you do and all that you are ❤️.”
These posts prove just how sweet this family is, and how much Carys has taken after her parents. Zeta-Jones’ video shows she’s always had a knack for performing, and Douglas’ video shows her musical and modeling chops.
