6 fun classic parenting movies to watch

Cheaper by the Dozen (2003)

This family comedy gets its name from an autobiographical book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth and Lillian Moller Gilbreth, but the plots are completely different. The father is a football coach and when the wife decides to go on a book tour, he is in left in charge of their dozen kids. Watch how the plot quickly unravels as the kids sneak out for a party. Daddy Day Care (2003)

When two advertising executives lose their jobs, they decide to open a day care centre. How difficult can that be? Watch the Eddie Murphy-starrer to find out! The duo adopts a lot of unconventional methods to handle their little charges. Be prepared for a lot of potty humour. It’s been given a PG rating for language.

Motherhood (2009)

Nobody said being a parent was easy and watching one day in the life of multi-tasking mom Eliza, played by Uma Thurman, proves that. Follow her journey as she tries to pack a lot in a day, from planning her child’s birthday party, running errands and meeting a deadline for a magazine feature. You’re sure to relate!\

Yours, Mine & Ours (2005)

So, there are 18 children in all in this wonderful family film, a remake of the 1968 classic starring Lucille Ball. A couple reconnects after 30 years, after going through marriage, widowhood and children-10 and eight respectively. The love story of the admiral and handbag designer is worth a watch as their families learn to become one.

Three Men and a Baby (1987)

Three footloose bachelors wake up one fine morning to find somebody’s left a baby at their doorstep. They rise to their occasion, despite their dating life taking a hit, as she quickly becomes Daddy’s Girl. A fun and soppy watch, especially for dads with daughters!
